How it started

We are dedicated to providing highly competitive and continuously innovative training for Goalies and Coaches.

Formally started in 2018, Goaliesmith is the lifelong project of the Gvozden brothers. Brothers, Friends, and Business Partners; Mike and Andrew built Goaliesmith into the Nation’s top resource for Goalies with one goal in mind:

Gather the best & hungriest goalies on the same field to grow better, together.

The Gvozden’s grew up in Severna Park, Maryland, one of the world’s biggest hotbeds for lacrosse. Both former Division 1 Goalies, with an extensive list of accolades, were encouraged by their parents to combine their skill sets and create a “Goalie Training Company” in 2015. At the time, Mike was a Lacrosse Coach in Los Angeles and Andrew a Restaurant Manager in San Francisco. The brothers each trained Goalies in their respective areas, and began partnering up to put their best foot forward. After many trial events, traveling up and down the West Coast, and learning from one another, the brothers decided that if they took their training back to the East Coast, and had success, building Goaliesmith would become their full-time focus.

After a Preseason Tour of Baltimore, Boston, Long Island, and Upstate NY, the decision was made by Mike and Andrew to go all in. The Goaliesmith community has grown rapidly throughout the United States, reaching goalies around the globe ever since.

Our Mission

Providing an elite training experience where goalies will be challenged to grow and motivated to thrive in a community of like-minded athletes.

On the field, we put a great deal of effort into designing each training experience to benefit every individual that signs up. From goal-pairings, to shot speed and selection, our team are experts at tailoring and scaling our training methods to fit the needs of each goalie.

Off the field, our goal is to build relationships with the entire lacrosse community, and make our knowledge and experience with this position widely accessible. Through original content, podcast appearances, interviews and other avenues on social media, we aim to raise the understanding of how to train goalies at an elite level.

Keenan Testimonial

Conor K. Goaliesmith Goalie

"Love these guys, without them i would not be anywhere close to where I am as a goalie or player. Really gave me a love for the game and would not trade the time I spent with them for anything."

"I could not speak more highly about Meg, Andrew, Mike, Drake and Gilly. The incredible, intense, training they offer is second-to-none. Not only are you going to get the most shots you'll ever receive in a two hour span but they take the time to watch each cage carefully, providing thorough/thoughtful tips to all goalies. Not to mention they have the best shooters in D1 ripping on you all day."

Loyola University Commit

"Outstanding shooters and coaching. Personally, it’s a long drive to get to sessions, but always so worth it. I learn new things, get tons of reps in drills built for goalies, and am able to be active in a lacrosse goalie community that is so, so, supportive. Could not recommend more!"

Lewis Testimonial
